He shared that there comes a time when you have to listen to that inner voice in your life, explaining that it’s time to step up and actually do something for God—adding that for him, it’s simply time to "live right."

He insists he isn't trying to lock his new music into the "Gospel" box.
Fivio says he doesn't view himself as a Gospel artist—he's just making tracks straight from the heart that honor God.
With all the different beats and styles he's mixing in, it's pretty much impossible to pin his sound down to a single genre.

The interesting part about his pivot is that Fivio Foreign isn’t just another rapper.
He was one of the key figures who pushed Brooklyn drill into its golden era alongside Pop Smoke, and he grabbed global attention with his Verse on Ye’s “Off the Grid”.
At the same time, he’s been weaving religious imagery and faith into his music since his 2022 album B.I.B.L.E..
Back then, Fivio openly identified as Christian, though he admitted he was far from living a perfect Christian life.

Fivio is open to collaborating with gospel heavyweights like Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary, but he refuses to label his sound—framing the shift not as a genre change, but as a deliberate choice about the legacy and message he wants to leave behind.
