There’s a chance that 1% could be right in front of me.

There’s a chance that 1% could be right in front of me.

Statistics can be accurate, sure.
But even if something is true 99% of the time,
there’s still a chance that 1% could be right in front of me.

You see people saying all kinds of things on social media and online communities—about relationships, successful people, “alpha males,” and all that.

Sure, some of those topics might be statistically true.
Things like how women tend to react, how men tend to react, habits of successful people, and so on.
There are a lot of good points out there, but the one conclusion I came to is this:

Even if 99% of the time something is true, the 1% could still be right in front of you.

Take relationships for a simple example.
If people say 99% of women aren’t interested in a certain kind of behavior,
the woman you’re looking at might belong to the 1%—and she might feel completely differently.

Success is the same way.
I know that people around me like the mature side of me, the thoughtful side of me.
And a lot of posts say women like men who are masculine, mature, and composed.
But deep down, I’m still childish in some ways.
And I want to find someone I can show that side of myself to.

Even if 99% of women prefer what those posts describe, I’m looking for the 1%.
I’m looking for the 1% in my life too.
And in the end, I walk toward the “narrow gate” that God spoke of.

So please, don’t live your life judging everything based only on SNS posts.
That 1% might be standing right in front of you.

And for that 1%, I’ll keep getting broken.
I’ll feel embarrassed, and it’ll hurt—
but I know it’ll only make me stronger, and make it easier for me to keep trying again.
