VGTBL.PL, a Hyper Duo That Started With Vegetables

vgtbl.pl is a Polish duo formed by two artists who originally worked under the names Franek Warzywa and Młody Budda, before reorganizing the project under its current name.
The roles are clearly defined: Franek Warzywa handles vocals, while Młody Budda is responsible for production and instrumentation.

It’s difficult to describe them simply as a hyperpop duo. On Bandcamp, they describe their own music as “vegetable hyperpop jazz punk.”
That description makes sense when you actually listen to their music, where hyperpop, punk, jazz, techno, breakbeat, and other influences collide and blend together.

To understand their identity, you have to start with their name.

In Franek Warzywa, “Warzywa” means “vegetables” in Polish.
Early on, he turned quirky, everyday subjects like going to the market or picking mushrooms and potatoes into music, eventually developing a unique fan culture where concertgoers would even show up carrying things like green onions and tomatoes.

Vegetables Worldwide, released on September 19, 2025, is currently the key album to understanding vgtbl.pl.

What stands out most on the album is the way it mixes Polish identity with the humor of the internet age.
It can move from Chopin to Brazilian funk, suddenly shift from metal into smooth jazz, or have breakbeats burst through otherwise soft melodies.
The duo themselves describe the album as music in which genres do not simply blend together naturally, but instead collide with one another.

The appeal of vgtbl.pl lies in the fact that it’s difficult to separate the music from the characters behind it.

Vegetables, Poland, internet memes, intentionally crude-looking visuals, and exaggerated performances all come together with the music to form one cohesive project.
But that doesn’t mean their musical ability should be underestimated because of all the gimmicks surrounding them.
The sound they create was more than enough to catch this editor’s ear.
