To mark the occasion, an expanded edition of the album will be released on October 2.
Warner Records’ 10th anniversary edition will include the original album, along with three previously unreleased tracks that were recorded at the time but never released!
The first track to kick things off is “Butterflies.”
It’s the first of the previously unreleased tracks to be released, a neo-soul track featuring Thundercat on bass.
The song also continues the musical direction Mac Miller explored on The Divine Feminine, moving between jazz, R&B, and soul.
Released in 2016, The Divine Feminine was an important turning point in Mac Miller’s career.
While he strongly pushed his presence as a rapper on his previous album, GO:OD AM, this album actively incorporated singing and melodies alongside rap, exploring love, intimacy, and the power of women as its central themes.
Collaborations with artists including Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, CeeLo Green, and Bilal also added more depth to the album’s overall sound.
Especially looking back at The Divine Feminine now, what stands out is how the album foreshadowed Mac Miller’s later music.
Rather than clearly separating genres, he naturally moved between jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop, without limiting his voice to simply being a tool for rapping.
This edition goes beyond a simple digital re-release.
The physical version will be released as a 3LP, with the standard version featuring Apple, Fruit Punch, and Black Ice-colored vinyl.
A separate indie-exclusive version will come in Milky Clear + Ruby.
Alongside the original album tracks, three newly released tracks will be added, with an etching on one side of the final disc.
Eight years after Mac Miller’s passing, his music continues to be discovered in new ways.
Following the posthumously released Circles and Balloonerism, this 10th anniversary edition of The Divine Feminine also looks set to be another opportunity to revisit the music he left behind.
More than anything, what’s interesting about this 10th anniversary edition is that it doesn’t try to create a new Mac Miller, but instead shows us a Mac Miller we haven’t heard yet.
If The Divine Feminine expanded his musical world through love and intimacy in 2016, then in 2026, ten years later, the three previously unreleased tracks left behind from that time open that world up once again.
