-Monday-
Today was my day off, so I visited the Seton registry, which took about one and a half hours.
It was as crowded as a typical Korean transport, with a lot of people on both the bus and the C-Train.
I applied for my healthcare and driver’s license again and double checked my home address.
Fortunately, the healthcare number was issued without any issues.
The temperature has plummeted to -24 degrees, quite a shift from last week’s warmer weather.
I’m still contemplating my job, but I’ve decided to pursue learning the HVAC-R.
However, the process is complicated because, without a green card, I can’t properly start anything.
There’s going to be a new stream program that requires six months of work experience,
which I can apply for If I have six months of work experience.
My proficiency is English poses another problem.
I’m uncertain about how to proceed.
-Thursday-
I gave notice to my company that I would quit working this week.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a shame, but I have gained nice brothers and valuable experiences.
If the AOS program hadn’t been suspended, I would continue working there.
Then I made a new friend, his name is Dawn. I told him I wanted to stay in touch with you
and he asked, ‘Why not?’
So, We exchanged numbers.
When the AOS program was suspended, it felt like my life was in disarray.
But now, I realize that I’m really a fortunate person.
I’m always surrounded by people from whom I can learn a lot and who are incredibly kind.
That’s why I’m feeling content now, as opposed to the helplessness I felt before.
I truly appreciate my life and being alive. I swear.
-Friday-
I finished all my work today. I was supposed to go home at 4 AM, but since I had various tasks to do,
I ended up leaving at 5 PM. It wasn’t too bad.
This morning, I wasn’t feeling well but felt better as the afternoon went by.
Also, a new stream was announced, but it doesn’t pertain to me.
They required an LMIA VISA, and the program closed as quickly as it opened.
What am I going to do now?
-Sunday-
Yesterday, I had an interview at the sushi restaurant and this morning, I received a message asking me to start work from tomorrow.
Reflecting on it, I’ve been running non-stop since February 2023.
I thought I might take a short break time after quitting my job,
but I actually used to play or enjoy leisure activities more than most people for a long time.
Moving forward, it’s clear I have to keep going without much rest.
The fact that work is non-stop means it’s both appreciated and good work.
However, it appears that my opportunity to rest is still some distance away.
